While the shampoo removes heavy buildup, this conditioner provides light conditioning that keeps hair soft and manageable without reintroducing the silicones, oils, or residue that caused the problem.
Formulated with soap nut extract (Sapindus mukorossi), a natural surfactant that gently lifts remaining residue from the hair shaft while conditioning. Tests show 80% of sebum can be removed from hair using soap nut extract, and it has an irritancy potential four times lower than SLS.

It's specially formulated to complement a clarifying shampoo by lightly conditioning the hair while helping remove leftover buildup. Unlike regular conditioner that adds oils and silicones, clarifying conditioner keeps hair clean and light.
How often should I use clarifying conditioner?
Use Clarify & Detox Conditioner 1-2 times per week, or whenever your hair feels heavy or weighed down. Most people benefit from using a clarifying conditioner 1–2 times per week to keep hair fresh and free from residue. If you use a lot of styling products, have hard water, or have an oily scalp, you may benefit from weekly use. For normal hair, every two weeks is sufficient.
Can I use clarifying conditioner on color-treated hair?
Yes. Clarify & Detox Conditioner is sulfate-free and gentle enough for color-treated hair. However, any clarifying product removes some surface buildup, which may include some color molecules. Wait at least one week after coloring before using clarifying products, and follow with a color-safe conditioner if needed.
What is soap nut extract and why is it in this conditioner?
Soap nut extract comes from the Sapindus mukorossi tree and contains natural surfactants called saponins. Soap nuts contain natural surfactants called saponins that turn into mounds of bubbles when you add water. Research shows soap nut extract is mild in its application and performs as effectively as both SLS and SLES, but with an irritancy potential four times lower than SLS. This makes it ideal for a clarifying conditioner that needs to cleanse gently without stripping hair.
Should I use regular conditioner after clarifying conditioner?
No. Clarify & Detox Conditioner is designed to be your final conditioning step. Adding regular conditioner afterward would reintroduce the oils and silicones you just removed. If your hair feels too dry after clarifying, reduce frequency to once every two weeks, or use a deep conditioning treatment on non-clarifying wash days.
Will this conditioner work if I have hard water?
Yes. Soap nuts work great if you've got hard water buildup in your hair or your hair feels heavy and lackluster. The soap nut extract helps remove mineral deposits from hard water while the lightweight formula prevents new buildup. For severe hard water issues, pair with Clarify & Detox Shampoo for best results.
Is this conditioner safe for sensitive scalps?
Yes. Soap nuts are naturally hypoallergenic and suitable for all skin types, including the most sensitive ones prone to irritations or allergies. The formula is free of parabens, sulfates, and synthetic fragrances. Lavender essential oil provides soothing properties without irritation.
